Chicago Bulls center Nikola Vucevic played a key role in bringing guard DeMar DeRozan to Chicago during the 2020 offseason. In fact, the connection between the two Bulls' stars is one of the reasons the former Raptor chose to take his talents to Chicago over his other, large-market suitors, cough, the Lakers, cough. Vucevic was, well, pleased with his recruiting efforts after DeRozan dropped 38 points on Los Angeles Monday night.

Vucevic should certainly be glad that it was DeRozan, a native of Compton, setting a new season-high in points against his hometown team and not the other way around. Bulls fans are also quite satisfied that their star center is skilled enough in the art of recruiting to bring someone like DeRozan to Chicago. Now the question is- does he have any more recruiting gas left in the tank for next season?

Perhaps the Bulls Twitter account can set up a thread where fans can start sending Vucevic a 2021 offseason wish list. Vucevic has clearly proven that he can take care of the rest.

While his efforts to reel in DeRozan, an early candidate for the MVP award, look awfully good now, it remains to be seen if the 10-4 Bulls can stay atop the contender-filled Eastern Conference.
