Zach LaVine has been waiting for the Chicago Bulls' roster around him to help him compete for a championship. Now, it's ready. With LaVine shining and DeMar DeRozan playing out of his mind recently, the Bulls are at the top of the Eastern Conference.

LaVine explained to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report that the Bulls are showing championship habits this season by being more vocal and honest about how to improve.

You just gotta be consistent everyday and have championship habits. Each and every day you have to have a goal in mind and get to that mindset of we're building for something. It's not just, “Oh, we won or lost this game.” You have to have championship habits each and every day. I think everybody's a lot more locked in, a lot more vocal. Through shootarounds, scripts, after games, guys talk about what we could've done better or what we did well and could still do adjustments on. That's definitely a little bit different.

Although the Bulls haven't been to the playoffs in five years, this team has several veterans who have playoff experiences, such as DeRozan, Alex Caruso and new addition Tristan Thompson. The players who haven't been to the postseason yet, such as LaVine and rookie Ayo Dosunmu, are still hungry for it.

As DeRozan and LaVine look to prove they're the best duo in the league, they will keep propelling Chicago to heights the team hasn't seen in ages. Both players' desire to pursue greatness and the team around them being filled with tough-minded players could make the Bulls one of the toughest teams come playoff time.
