DeMar DeRozan continued his quest to cement his legacy as an icon for the Chicago Bulls after hitting yet another game-winner for his squad on Saturday night. That's now back-to-back games wherein DeRozan's heroics saved the day for the Bulls, and for his part, Zach LaVine could not be any happier.
Speaking to the media after Chicago's hard-fought 120-119 win over the Washington Wizards, LaVine had a straightforward message about how important DeRozan has been for the Bulls this season:
“Thank God we have DeMar DeRozan on our team,” LaVine said, via K.C. Johnson of NBCS Chicago.
LaVine remains to be the cornerstone superstar of the Bulls, so for him to have this much praise for his teammate speaks volumes of the chemistry and camaraderie this squad has built over the past few months. Chicago is looking like a legitimate contender right now as they continue to exceed the expectations many had on them before the start of the season.

According to LaVine, there's one simple secret behind Chicago's success this term:
“We don't have any egos,” he responded when asked why he believes DeRozan has been able to fit in so well with the Bulls.
That's now seven straight wins for the Bulls who have captured the top spot in the East following the Brooklyn Nets' 120-116 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday. DO NOT sleep on the Chicago Bulls.
