Apparently the Chicago Bulls don't know how to spell.

And that wouldn't be so bad if they had misspelled, say, onomatopoeia. That's a really hard word to spell.

Instead, they misspelled the name of Joakim Noah, who spend nine years playing for the same Bulls franchise, helped them win many playoff games and was essentially the fan favorite until the team moved on him several years ago. The name was close, but still no cigar, per Mike McGraw of the Daily Herald.

This is a photo of the starting lineups for the both the Bulls and the New York Knicks, where Noah currently plays. It's a Bulls home game, so it's the job of the Bulls public relations staff to make, print and disseminate these materials for the media.

The fact that Noah played nine years for the Bulls should it make it virtually impossible for the PR staff to forget the spelling of his name. The explanation could be that the staff that handles these kinds of things is new, so they're not used to spelling his name on a daily basis. But a quick Google search fixes that.

To be fair, Noah is on the inactive list. But still, the Bulls should know better.

Or maybe this is all a ploy to be disrecptpful to Noah on the down low…
