Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan is not only known as arguably the best basketball player to ever live, but Jordan also developed a reputation as an expert trash-talker throughout his career. However, Jordan's trash-talking wasn't limited to opposing players or even referees, Jordan took it to the next level and wouldn't even hold back when it came to reporters and media members.
Sam Smith, author of The Jordan Rules, a book chronicling Michael Jordan and the Bulls' 1990-91 season and New York Times bestseller is featured in episode three of “The Last Dance” and recalls the time where Jordan trash-talked the media prior to beating the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 1989 playoffs.

And Lacy picked the Cavs to win in three, Kent picked the Cavs to win in four and I picked the Cavs to win in five. So Michael, game's about to start and Michael walks over to Lacy and points at him and says ‘We took care of you,' and he looks at Kent and he says ‘We took care of you' and he looks at me and says ‘And we take care of you today,'” Smith said via episode three of The Last Dance.
The Bulls legend also dished out on the infamous “shot” over the Cavs' Craig Ehlo, saying that putting the guard on him was a mistake — although it's worth noting that he was one of the team's best perimeter defenders.

Jordan and the Bulls would go on to win that series in game five before moving past the New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons on their way to a championship.
