The first couple of episodes of “The Last Dance” dropped Sunday night, and needless to say, it was packed with a ton of controversial moments. One of the most tense scenes involved Bulls star Scottie Pippen, who gave team general manager Jerry Krause an earful during an encounter on a team bus prior to demanding a trade.

Bill Wennington and Phil Jackson even acknowledged that Pippen got personal and crossed a line with these antics toward Krause.

Krause featured heavily in the first two episodes of “The Last Dance,” and it was clear early on that he and Pippen did not see eye to eye. So much so, that Krause admitted looking into the possibility of offloading Pippen via trade:

“We had a number of offers we thought were good offers for Scottie and for some of our other players,” Krause said in documentary, via Rob Schaefer of NBC Sports Chicago. “I’m never going to stop being aggressive and I will never stop trying to do things to make the team better.”

Upon finding out, this obviously did not bode well with Pippen. It was already common knowledge that the seven-time All-Star was one of the most undervalued players on the team, which is something Pippen knew as well as he did his dance with the front office during a contract squabble. He even delayed foot surgery to spite the organization.

This just took things over the edge:

“I’m done here,” Pippen said at the time. “You’ve already written my script out that this is it so I had to do what was best for me.”

The Bulls ended up trading away Pippen the following year to the Houston Rockets.

The second episode of “The Last Dance” did end with a cliffhanger, so we just can't wait to see how Pippen and Krause's relationship would carry on for the rest of the season following that tense confrontation.
