The investigation of the Dallas Mavericks' reportedly hostile workplace is nearing its conclusion and the results are hoped to be made public by next week. While residing within the confine of the Mavs and the NBA, the impact of those results could potentially be felt all over.

As reported by Eddie Sefko of Sportsday, the Mavericks and the NBA would like to have the results before Labor Day, cleaning up the slate leading up to the team's training camp on September 20.

The Mavericks and the league would like to have the investigation results finalized before Labor Day. After that, preparations for training camp on Sept. 20 will ramp up. But there is no firm timetable.

The scandal was first reported by Jon Wertheim and Jessica Luther of Sports Illustrated. In their report, various employees told stories of sexual harassment:

“It was a real life Animal House,” says one former organization employee who left recently after spending roughly five years with the Mavs. “And I only say ‘was’ because I’m not there anymore. I’m sure it’s still going on.”

Among those accused are former Mavericks team president and CEO Terdema Ussery who left in 2015, former VP for Marketing Paul Monroe, former Mavs writer Earl K. Sneed, among other high-profile members of the organization. Employees even mentioned former senior account executive Chris Hyde, who openly watched porn on his phone and computer.

Early this year, the Mavericks appointed Cynthia Marshall as their interim CEO, hoping to start anew and imbibe a healthier and cleaner culture.
