Seth Curry was the forgotten Curry last season, as he sat out the entire 2017-18 campaign thanks to a fractured tibia. He’s ready to play NBA-level basketball next season, however, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowksi is reporting that Curry has been cleared to resume doing basketball activities.
Free agent guard Seth Curry, who missed season with a left tibia fracture, has been medically cleared and engaged in full basketball-related activities for a month, his agent Alex Saratsis told ESPN. Curry had his best season w/ Mavs in 2016-17, averaging 12.8 points in 29 mpg.

Seth Curry is a free agent this summer, and while his year-long absence may likely affect his side’s power on the negotiating table, he is still expected to attract attention from at least a few teams.
Before going down with a left leg fracture, Curry put together his best season as a professional with the Mavs in 2016-17 in which he averaged 12.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.1 steals, and 29.0 minutes in 70 games, including 42 turns in the starting five.

He also shot well for a shooting guard in his lone season in Dallas, knocking down 48.1 percent of his shots from the field and 42.5 percent from distance.
Dallas will have to make a decision on whether to offer Seth Curry another deal or simply let him test the free agent market. The Mavs are not in a rush to secure another guard this summer after just drafting a pair of backcourt pieces in Luke Doncic and Jalen Brunson. In addition to that, the teal also extended a qualifying offer to Yogi Ferrell and still has J.J. Barea in the books for one more season.
It’s also possible that Curry manages to find his way to his older brother’s team in Golden State. The Warriors might not bring back Nick Young, so a shooting guard with an ideal price tag like Curry could be among the defending NBA champions’ targets this offseason.
