The Dallas Wings officially selected Paige Bueckers with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday night. With no shortage of hype surrounding the draft, Dallas Mavericks star — and former No. 1 overall pick — Anthony Davis welcomed Bueckers to Dallas with a message on social media.
“What's up Paige, AD here. From one first overall pick to another, I just want to say congratulations,” Davis said, via the Mavericks' X, formerly Twitter, account. “Welcome to Dallas. Can't wait to get you here, support you, come to some games. Watch you do your thing. Congrats again, enjoy the night.”

It would be an understatement to say that the cities of Dallas and Arlington are excited for Paige Bueckers to join the Wings. With superstar Arike Ogunbowale already on the roster, Bueckers gives Dallas another star to build around for the future.
