Looking to stay hot heading into the All-Star break, the Golden State Warriors could certainly use a little bit of help to improve their chances of going back to the Finals.

After coming within one basket of advancing past the play-in tournament and just barely missing out on last year's playoffs, the Warriors have been back with a vengeance and playing like a team on a mission.

Sitting pretty at second place in the Western Conference, Golden State has been firing on all cylinders. Nevertheless, in this post, we'll be discussing the three players the Dubs must trade for ahead of the NBA trade deadline to improve their title chances in 2023.

Warriors Trades Before NBA Trade Deadline 2022

3. Thaddeus Young

As a disgruntled veteran swingman on a San Antonio Spurs squad that isn't looking to make a playoff run this season, Thaddeus Young would be much better off playing for a contender that's in need of some quality frontcourt depth. Enter the Warriors, a ready-made title favorite that could use more muscle up front and would benefit greatly from Young's skillset.

On the Warriors, Young would provide them with additional rebounding and rim protection while excelling in the pick-and-roll game with elite playmakers like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Jordan Poole, Andre Iguodala and Nemanja Bjelica.

Young's size and length would be a major plus for the Dubs while they await the return of James Wiseman.

2. Montrezl Harrell

Playing for a Washington Wizards team that's starting to slip in the Eastern Conference standings, Montrezl Harrell is one name that has been mentioned in recent trade rumors who would thrive playing in the Bay Area. His grit and tenacity on both ends of the floor would give the Warriors a much-needed boost to their frontline. Just the very idea of Harrell guarding the interior alongside Green with Wiseman or Looney at center is something that would give opposing teams chills.

Plus with his athleticism and reach, the Warriors could run the ultimate small-ball line-up with Curry, Thompson, Green and Wiggins, with Harrell playing the center spot. This would also open up more scoring opportunities for Steph, Klay, and Wiggins with Green running point-forward.

Furthermore, Harrell's slashing and leaping abilities would make him the ultimate lob threat in Golden State's up-tempo scoring attack.

1. Tristan Thompson

He's an NBA champion and seasoned veteran center who's currently playing for a highly dysfunctional Sacramento Kings organization that's yet to build a winning culture. Tristan Thompson would do would do wonders for the Warriors as an aggressive hustle player who's merely impossible to box out in the paint.

He'd be able to get put-back dunks and create more scoring opportunities and offensive possessions for Golden State with his elite rebounding and smooth touch around the rim. In Golden State, Thompson would complete their big man rotation that currently features Kevon Looney and Wiseman (when he returns).
