Klay Thompson has just received a timely gift from Anta, as his latest signature shoes, the KT2, will be released ahead of the NBA Finals.

The announcement was made by the shoe and apparel manufacturer on their official Twitter account which included a photo of its latest colorway, called “Chase.” It will come in white for the Golden State Warriors‘ home games in the finals series, while the black ones are expected to be worn by the All-Star shooting guard inside the Cleveland Cavaliers’ homecourt.

The release of Thompson’s signature sneakers could turn out to be the boost he is looking for to get out of the slump he’s currently in. In 12 postseason games so far, the 27-year-old Washington State product is only averaging 14.4 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. He has proven over the years that he is capable of producing higher numbers, which explains why his production of late is considered somewhat disappointing for the Oakland faithful.

It remains to be seen if he’ll be able to play better in the finals, but with the KT2’s release, and in special finals colorways, it won’t come as a surprise if he bounces back immediately, especially knowing that his sponsors are still going all-out to support him despite the slump he’s in.
