On the brink of winning a record 73 wins in an NBA season, the NBA championship is the Golden State Warriors to lose.

With the number one overall seed and only nine losses for the entire season (so far), it looks like there's not much that can stop the defending champions.

Taking into consideration everything they've done this season along with who they might face in the playoffs, odds makers are now looking to the future and taking their guesses as to how many times the Warriors will most likely lose in the NBA playoffs.

According to Matt Youmans of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, one odds maker, Jimmy Vaccaro, has his answer: 5½, with the under favored at minus-130.

“We’re getting a lot of gawkers,” Vaccaro said, “but nobody has made a bet yet.”

When you consider that you have you face four different teams and win 16 games to win the NBA championship, that may seem like a very low number against playoff caliber teams.

But the thing is, the Warriors lost fewer game last year in their run to the ship when they finished 16-5 in the playoffs. Looking at the Warriors last year versus this year, you could easily imagine them losing even fewer!

As of right now, the Warriors will face the Houston Rockets in the first round, a team that they already beat all three times they've faced each other this season and beat 4-1 when they faced in the playoffs last season.

The second round could see most likely the Los Angeles Clippers or the Portland Trailblazers, both teams who have presented the Warriors problems in the past. This season has been an exception against the Clippers as the Warriors have won every game they've faced this season. The Trailblazers were able to hand the Warriors one of their nine losses, so that series could be one to look out for.

The most anticipated matchup of the entire playoffs has to be the Western Conference semi-finals. Assuming both the Spurs and the Warriors make it, this could be the highest regular season win percentage playoff series the NBA has ever seen. The Spurs have been overshadowed by the Warriors all season but have still had one of the best regular seasons in NBA history. They also handed the Warriors their lowest scoring game of the season when they only scored 79 points in their loss to the Spurs in San Antonio. If there's any series where the Warriors could lose a few games, it's this one.

Assuming LeBron and the Cavs make it to the championship, we saw what happened in the series last year. Not to mention, they've already beaten the Cavs twice this season (once by 34 points). Of course, any team with LeBron has a solid chance of winning a few games.

Obviously taking the under on such a low number of games is risky for any team. This is the NBA playoffs and we've already seen the Warriors lose to some very surprising teams including the Nuggets, the Lakers, and the Bucks.

But is it even riskier to bet against a team that has only lost nine of 81 games all season with only one remaining?

This is why I don't gamble.
