When Kevin Durant decided to take his talents to Oakland and join the Golden State Warriors, he made it clear it’s because he feels he has the best chance of winning a title with them. Now in the NBA Finals and having swept the first three rounds of the playoffs, he and his teammates have a chance to make history by going 16-0, should they sweep the defending champion Cleveland Cavaliers.
However, when asked about that possibility, the former MVP and four-time scoring champion said he is not thinking of that, and all that matters to him is winning his first championship. Regardless of how they'll get there.
Kevin Durant asked if he's thought about Warriors going 16-0. He shook his head no and said "However you get there. It doesn't matter to me"

Not to take away anything from the Dubs, but Durant may also be keeping their fans’ expectations low, as winning 4-0 against the Cavs is no easy task, especially with their experience and the talented players they have. Although they are also capable of reaching that feat, he just wants it to be clear that he doesn’t care how they’ll do it, as long as they end up winning the series.
Should the Warriors go on and do the unthinkable, it will cap off their incredible season, which saw them have the most wins in the league once again. It also proves that Durant can indeed co-exist with the team’s other All-Stars. The feat is amazing on its own, as it also send a strong message to the entire NBA that they are the team to beat in the coming years, and that a possible dynasty could be in the making if no team emerges with the capability of defeating them.
