Kevin Durant is set to host a Basketball Fantasy Experience in Oakland from September 15-17, a youth camp he's run throughout his time in Oklahoma City, according to Anthony Slater of the San Jose Mercury News.

While this has been an annual tradition for the 2014 MVP, the fact he's holding it in Oakland likely means he deems the Bay Area a place to stay, at least through next season.

The Golden State Warriors face a much tougher task than last offseason this summer — dealing with Stephen Curry‘s impending super-max contract while also working out a potential extension with Durant while still attempting to retain free agents Andre Iguodala and Shaun Livingston.

Durant is likely to be the one to make concessions during negotiations, as he'll likely have to only take 80 percent of his possible full salary extension in order to leave cap available to sign key players off the bench.

Asking Curry to take yet another discount is unfathomable for the organization after giving the franchise the discount of a lifetime, turning out an NBA championship, two MVP trophies and millions of dollars in ticket revenue and merchandise sales throughout his four-year, $44 million extension signed in 2013.
