The 2014 MVP reached the mark almost effortlessly, starting the game 8-of-9 for 19 points at the half. He would score a two-pointer from the right elbow early in the third to tie Jordan's record from back in the 1987-88 season.
The 6-foot-9 forward was one of three players with 20 points or more for the Dubs, helping his team to a 116-95 rout of the Dallas Mavericks.
Kevin Durant could tie Oscar Robertson for third all-time on Nov. 23, when he'll face the Los Angeles Lakers at home and pass him once he faces the Lakers yet again on the road Nov. 25 — game which will be televised on NBA TV.
