Stephen Jackson wasn't kidding when he said he wanted to return to the NBA. In fact, he will be making his NBA comeback at the age of 38 next season.

Jackson posted an Instagram video Thursday, telling anyone who would listen that he is medically cleared to play, and will be making his return to a team in 2016-17.

Jackson hasn't been shy about voicing his desire to return to the NBA, and previously mentioning that he wants to play for the Golden State Warriors again.

He toldRachel Nichols of ESPN last month that that received an invite to Warriors camp, but they denied the report, only reportedly wanting him in a coaching role.

Jackson said he couldn't say which team's roster he would be on, but that an he would be making an announcement soon.

Jackson has played 14 seasons in the NBA, suiting up for eight teams. He won a championship with the San Antonio Spurs in 2003. His career averages are 15.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game.

There is no way to tell how much Jackson has left in the tank, or what his new role will be, but he is one of the few NBA athletes attempting to make a comeback that has claimed to successfully garner a team's attention.
