Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr issued a forceful rebuke of pro-Trump supporters who stormed Capitol Hill on Wednesday.

Kerr addressed the frightening scene in Washington D.C. in a session with reporters ahead of the Warriors' matchup with the L.A. Clippers at Chase Center.

“We had seven to eight million more people vote for Biden than for Trump. Every state has certified those results. Every court appeal has been turned down. A legitimate election is suddenly questioned by millions of people, including many of the people who are leading our country in government, because we've decided to … allow lies to be told. This who we are. You reap what you sow.”

Steve Kerr has been a vocal critic of President Trump over the past four years. He made a point to refer to those who stormed the Capitol as “terrorists,” via Joe Vardon of The Athletic.

“Really two big questions today in this country. What are we going to do about the protestors, excuse me, not protestors, the terrorists who stormed the capitol, and how are we going to guard Lou Williams and avoid fouling?”

Numerous members of the NBA community have reacted forcefully to the disturbing developments in D.C., including Warriors stars Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.

Curry re-tweeted a hypocritical Trump post from July regarding the peaceful Black Lives Matter protests in Portland.

Warriors shooting guard Klay Thompson shared a cartoon of Trump, in a Ku Klux Klan capirote, looking away from the violence he is largely responsible for inciting.

Steve Kerr has never been one to hold back when it comes to social issues. The same can be said of his players.
