The Bill Simmons Podcast has been the gift that keeps on giving lately, especially that particular episode in which The Ringer’s founder had Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant as guest.
In the latest tidbit from the same segment, Durant expressed his total admiration of the New York Knicks’ home, the Madison Square Garden, as transcribed by Stefan Anderson of New York News Daily.

“Madison Square that s–t is so live in there and you just know it’s the mecca,” the reigning NBA Finals MVP said during a recent podcast with Bill Simmons of The Ringer. “I don’t think they should ever change that.”
“You know what’s an underrated part of Madison Square Garden?” Durant asked. “It’s the buzzer. It’s an old-school buzzer.”
First opened in 1968, Madison Square Garden has hosted some of the biggest sporting and cultural events in recent memory, each adding a degree of charm felt by anyone who steps inside it. Durant is just one of the many people that continue to be awed by the Garden and its unique atmosphere.
Unfortunately for its most famous residents, the Garden’s allure has done little to distract Durant from dropping a ton of points every time he pays the Big Apple a visit. In fact, Durant has a career average of 29.4 points in 15 games in New York.
Kevin Durant and the Warriors next make a trip to New York on February 26, so the Knicks have a long time to devise a plan on how to stop the reigning NBA Finals MVP.
