While Stephen Curry is one of the faces of the NBA, former NBA player, coach and ESPN analyst Damon Jones believes Curry must prove the Warriors are his team.

Curry, a two time MVP, averaged 27.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 2018-2019.

But, the 2019-2020 season will be one, if not the biggest test Curry has faced in his career.

Curry will be without star forward Kevin Durant, who left the team for the Brooklyn Nets and tore his Achilles in the NBA Finals, as well as Klay Thompson, who tore his ACL in the Finals.

The Warriors did trade for Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell to help Curry with the upcoming season. The team will also have forward Draymond Green.

Despite winning two MVP's, Curry is always under flack for benefiting from dominant performances of his teammates like Thompson and Durant.

With all the other moves Western Conference teams have made in the offseason, Curry will have a tall task to not only put the Warriors in the playoffs, but also make a run.

Even with a star alongside him in Russell, Curry will have a lot of pressure on him with an unfamiliar team and playing in a new arena.
