Over the last few years, Draymond Green and Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors have formed a strong bond as teammates and as friends. Green recently shared his favorite moments with the sharpshooting guard.

As reported by Sam Alipour of ESPN, Green shared one instance, which he says ‘protects' Curry's image. It was way before the two won their first title. They were down 2-1 in Memphis and Curry was struggling to find his shot. Green narrated:

“Steph wasn't playing well, and it felt like the world was collapsing on us. So he was in his room, doing nothing, and I called him: “Hey, let's go get a drink.” “All right, cool.” So we go to Blues City Cafe, drink a bunch of drinks, eat a bunch of garbage and have a bunch of fun. And we won the next three. That moment was the beginning of our run, where it could have gone all the way left. We just needed to just get away from the game.”

Another similar instance arose against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Green shared that they were also down 2-1 and Curry couldn't find this rhythm. But instead of inviting him out for drinks, Green brought a bottle of wine to Curry's room. They won the next three games and the title.

It was a simple yet great story. Green gave some insider information on how players deal with tough losses. Teammates don't just get it done on the court. Their relationship off the court is also of equal importance. Winning is an obsession for these guys. But a drink or two coupled with some time away from basketball won't hurt their chances.
