Draymond Green didn't sugarcoat his costly turnover during the winding seconds of Game 5 against the Houston Rockets, quickly taking the blame for a lost possession that cost the Golden State Warriors the game.
“We were supposed to score and I lost the ball, there's kind of not much more to it than that,” said Green during his post-game press conference. “We were supposed to give the ball to Steph, we gave the ball to Steph, and then he handed it out to me and I fumbled the ball. Nothing more, nothing less.”

The play was a costly one, looking like an inexplicable lapse in concentration from Green — giving the ball right back to the Rockets with 3.4 seconds left and allowing their Western Conference Rivals to put the game away at the foul line.

Green went from being a potential hero after hitting an open three to bring the Warriors within a point with 1:15 left in the game, but all of it was forgotten after that costly turnover spelled the end of the road for Game 5.
The Warriors were only down two and could have possibly stolen this game from the Rockets in regulation or overtime, but these uncharacteristic last-second mistakes are not helping Golden State — making two straight games where questionable decisions have taken place.
Kevin Durant passed up a one-on-one opportunity in the winding seconds of Game 5, which ultimately turned into a double-team-contested jump shot by Klay Thompson that didn't hit iron.
