With Stephen Curry still getting back to form, Jordan Poole stepped up in a big way for the Golden State Warriors in his first ever playoff game. His monster night etched his name in the history books with some mighty fine company.

Poole's 30 points in his NBA playoff debut were the most by a Warriors player not named Wilt Chamberlain, who scored 35 points in his playoff debut way back in 1960.

One key difference is that Wilt Chamberlain played in all 48 minutes to get his 35 point tally. Jordan Poole only needed 30.

Poole tied with Warriors icon Mitch Richmond, who also scored 30 in his postseason debut. He also outdid current teammate Stephen Curry in the process. Curry, who made his playoff debut in his fourth NBA season, scored 19 points in his first postseason contest which also came against the Denver Nuggets way back in 2013.

His 30 points and five three-points also garnered him a piece of history alongside Kyrie Irving, who had the exact same tallies back in 2015, but also needed 40 minutes to achieve it.

Jordan Poole has emerged as a key component of the Warriors' offensive attack. Games like this show Warriors fans that he can be much more than a secondary scorer on a winning team. The man has star potential bursting at the seams.
