The Golden State Warriors take on the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday at Staples Center, and Dubs shooting guard Klay Thompson is eager to get some revenge.
The last time the Warriors and Lakers played, LA shocked the world and defeated Golden State at Oracle Arena on Christmas Day by a final score of 127-101.
Lakers star small forward LeBron James suffered a groin injury which forced him to exit the game, and despite the Warriors going on a furious run to erase a double-digit deficit after James got injured, the young LA team was still able to come away with a huge win on national television.
Things are going to be very different on Monday night, though. James, Rajon Rondo and Lonzo Ball are all out with separate injuries. Barring something unforeseen happening, Klay Thompson and the Warriors should easily beat the Lakers on Monday.

“It makes you want to give some redemption,” Thompson said, via Mark Medina of The Mercury News. “Obviously we’ve got a nice winning streak set, but you still have to have good memory in this league. You don’t want to give a team too much confidence and let them beat you twice.”
The Warriors enter Monday on a seven-game winning streak and with an overall record of 32-14. Thompson is averaging 21.6 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.0 assists per contest on the year.
