The Golden State Warriors are still the best team in the NBA, but they haven't been as crisp as of late, and in the last six games they are 3-3.

There have been a lot of talk about what the Warriors issues might be, and Ben Falk of Cleaning The Glass might have found one of the reasons.

GSW is 30th in the NBA, allowing teams to run 34% of the time off misses. They were 5th (27% last year).

There are many reasons why this might be the case, but it boils down to the fact that they aren't getting back on the defensive end of the floor. The Warriors seem to be complaining a lot more to the officials instead of focusing on the next play.

There are a few things the Warriors need to fix but this seems like one of the simpler issues to change. If they miss a shot, they need good rotation in getting back and force the opponents to play a half-court style of offense.

Before the Warriors' last game against the Dallas Mavericks, Steve Kerr did his normal pregame press conference. In it, he talked about what they need to do to get out of their slump.

“It’s not going to be easy. We’re not going to come out and score 140 points, I know these games well. You have to win with competitive desire, defense and toughness. That’s what we have to bring.”

The start of desire and toughness begins with getting back on defense, and it is clear that if the Warriors want to repeat as champions, they need to start doing better with transition defense.
