Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is still universally recognized as the best basketball player in the world, but it's pretty close between him and KD this year.
Article Continues BelowKevin Durant has won two straight Finals MVPs and is a walking bucket. The 10-time All-Star is averaging 27.5 points, 6.9 rebounds and 5.8 assists per game for the Warriors this season, all while shooting 51.4 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from beyond the arc and 89.0 percent from the free-throw line.
Durant, 30, is fourth in the NBA in scoring. The four-time scoring champion is probably the most unguardable player in the game since he's 6-foot-9 and has the skills of a shooting guard.
Joel Embiid has established himself as a top-10 player in the NBA. The two-time All-Star is putting up 27.3 points, 13.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game this season for the Sixers while shooting 48.2 percent from the floor and 81.1 percent from the free-throw line.
If NBA fans want to see KD and Embiid go at it again this season, the Warriors and Sixers will have to win their respective conferences and meet in the NBA Finals.
