Even though the Golden State Warriors failed to make the playoffs following their play-in disappointment, Stephen Curry continues to dish out assists … for the community that is.
According to Jonathan White of the South China Morning Post, Curry's Bruce Lee-customized game worn shoes have been auctioned off at Goldin Auctions for $51,000. The proceeds of the auction will be given to the families of the Atlanta spa shooting victims last March.
Below is a look at the said Curry 8 Under Armour shoes customized by Kreative Custom Kicks. It features the Bruce Lee quote “Under the heavens, there is only family,” while Curry previously said he would sign the shoes.

Stephen Curry wore the shoes during a regular season game against the Atlanta Hawks last April 4. While the Warriors lost the contest, Curry had a huge game and scored 37 points on a 52.2 percent shooting clip.
For what it's worth, Curry's tribute came three weeks after the Atlanta Spa shooting, in which an armed assailant took the lives of eight people–six of which are of Asian descent.
“This is a significant opportunity to raise some money. We’re gonna auction them off,” Curry said of his custom shoes after the Hawks game last April, per SCMP. “Obviously stopping Asian hate is huge across the country and across this world but here the shoes are a very small way to hopefully raise money for that work and that cause and, you know, raise awareness.”
This is undoubtedly a huge gesture from Stephen Curry, who remains one of the most influential players off the court. The Warriors star has shown time and time again that they are more than just athletes, and he continues to make sure they are putting the platform they have into good use.
