Stephen Curry's 3-point prowess early this season has been something to marvel at. The Golden State Warriors sniper has now buried 33 trifectas in five games, the most ever for a player through the start of a season and now more than four NBA franchises have scored as a team.

The New Orleans Pelicans come to closest with 32 threes made, while the L.A. Clippers (29), Cleveland Cavaliers (28) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (26) all fall short of 30 for the season. The Cavs and Pelicans have played four games, while the Thunder and Clippers have only played three.

The Warriors guard's 51-point three-quarter clinic of shooting the ball against the Washington Wizards on Wednesday saw him smash the previous mark for most threes made through five games, putting the tally at 33 after making 11-of-16 on the hapless Wizards.

While his previous record of 402 treys in a season is looked at as an unsurmountable feat, Curry is well on pace to break it, even if his average of 6.6 threes per game slows down over time, as it's expected.

The 30-year-old is also expected to get rest after playing in four long postseason runs since 2014, reaching the NBA Finals every year since.

Curry is far and away the most prolific 3-point shooter in the league at the moment, nine threes ahead of Kemba Walker for the throne at this year's 3-point king. James Harden (265) had the most made threes last season after Curry was dethroned from a five-year stint at the throne, following an injury-marred season that saw him play only 51 games.
