The greatest shooter of all time, Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry, is doing something early in the season that literally defies logic.
According to Basketball-Reference, Stephen Curry is shooting more efficient on deep 3-pointers than the entire NBA is on converting dunk attempts (h/t Tom Haberstroh of NBC Sports).
In my @NBCSports column: Stephen Curry this season has shot 16-of-25 on jumpers from 28+ feet. Scott Brooks called them layups the other day, but they're actually more efficient than dunks. 😐😐😐https://t.co/k6mPrNWMrz pic.twitter.com/o6CpubgNxQ

Through 11 games this year, Curry is averaging 31.3 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.1 assists. The two-time league MVP is shooting 52.5 percent from the field, 50.8 percent from beyond the arc and 92.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Stephen Curry is arguably the only player in NBA history whom you have to start guarding as soon as he crosses half court. The five-time All-Star has shown time and time again there is no shot on the floor he can't hit. Curry really does make shooting deep shots look like layups.
When it's all said and done, Curry will eclipse Ray Allen in the all-time 3-point field goals list. Allen hit 2,973 shots from beyond the 3-point line during his legendary career. Entering Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks, Curry has made 2,191. As great of a shooter Allen was, not even he was able to shoot so effortless from shots well behind the 3-point line.
Stephen Curry is really in a league of his own, and he could be on his way to another MVP this season.
