The Golden State Warriors had a feast inside against the Washington Wizards on the road, recording a season-high 70 points in the paint en route to a 126-118 win on Thursday night. Stephen Curry had another iffy night shooting from beyond the arc, hitting only two of his eight 3-point attempts, but managed a strong 38-point outing on 14-of-24 shooting from the floor to spearhead the defending champions to their ninth straight win.
“Got to take what the defense gives you,” Curry said, according to The Associated Press. “I think for the most part we moved the ball early and got everybody established. And then the lane starts to open up, and you've got to take advantage of it some nights.”
Curry rebounded nicely from an 11-point outing on Monday that saw him shoot 3-of-12 from the floor and 2-of-10 from distance. The two-time MVP has visibly slowed his 3-point shooting tear since big man DeMarcus Cousins returned to the lineup, making 7-of-29 3-pointers in the last three games (24.1 percent) after making 51-of-107 in his first seven games of the calendar year.

The Warriors have now pushed their streak to a season-high, looking to make it double digits by finishing out two tough road games against the Boston Celtics on Saturday and the Indiana Pacers on Monday.
