The Golden State Warriors have yet to rattle off three wins in a row this season and this theme of inconsistency has haunted them through the early goings of the 2020-21 campaign. Warriors star Stephen Curry was visibly frustrated with how the team played in their most recent loss to the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night.
Curry noted how rough 3-to-4 minute stretches where they don't play right and execute properly have caused them some tough losses this season, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.
Steph Curry: "When the games are in the margins for us this year, the common theme is that in certain 3 or 4 minute windows, we don't play with the right intentions."

Curry and the Warriors were doing a great job hanging around against the home team Suns through the first half and the early portions of the second half. It was a 1-point game at the 8:14 mark of the third quarter after Draymond Green found a cutting Kevon Looney for an easy slam.
One-and-a-half minutes later, Phoenix's lead ballooned to 10 and the Dubs never recovered from that point on.

Oubre fouled Jae Crowder on a three-pointer, that started the Suns' spark. The 6-foot-7 wing then came up empty on a 3-ball the next possession, before Cameron Johnson dropped a triple of his own to extend Phoenix's lead to seven. After Oubre missed on a drive on Golden State's succeeding possession, Crowder dropped yet another three to give the Suns another double-digit advantage.
This was certainly the defining run that changed things for Golden State and this seems to be happening way too often for Curry's liking. As for the 3-time NBA champ, he did do his part by scoring a team-high 27 points and making five 3-pointers.
Golden State looks to get back on the win column as they host the Detroit Pistons at Chase Center on Saturday.
