Stephen Curry has seen the clear shift in all-around spark provided by the Golden State Warriors' catalyst, Draymond Green. The Warriors are a well-oiled machine when Green is at his best, and after adjusting his diet and tuning into the raging bull he has been during the past few postseasons, his teammates have basked in his contagious energy:

“The last three or four games,” said Curry, according to Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic, “in terms of his decisiveness, energy, effort, plugging holes on defense, finding lanes on the offensive end to drive and finish, and taking shots when he’s open. The confidence kind of just pouring out of him is contagious for us and allows us to continue to build momentum throughout the course of the game. He keeps the defense honest, for sure. The way they try to defend us. He’s a threat.”

Green shot a much-improved 37% from deep after the All-Star break, but seems to have run into a rut, missing his last 15 treys throughout this playoff stretch. However, that has done little to impact his all-around game, as he has now scored in double digits in the last three games, including six of the eight postseason outings the Warriors have taken part of thus far.

The mercurial forward lost 20-plus pounds since March, tuning his diet and his body to the level he expected to be at after being plagued with injuries early on in the season:

“I feel great out there,” said Green, who is eligible for a contract extension this offseason. “I think it’s showing in my play. But it’s a long road for what we want to do. … Health plays a big part in that. It feels good to be healthy. I haven’t been healthy in a while. It feels good to step out there and not have an ache. … Feels good to go out there and be healthy and play the game I love with my body feeling good.”

That has ultimately proved the biggest game-changer for a team that still is managing to compete at a high level, despite losing their biggest addition of the offseason in DeMarcus Cousins after a game-and-change in the first round.
