Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry thinks superstar small forward Kevin Durant will “play amazing” in Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
Durant only took eight shots in Game 2 and fouled out. The Warriors blew a 31-point lead at home. Durant finished with 21 points in Game 2, but he just hasn't looked comfortable against Clippers guard Patrick Beverley.
Curry, though, believes Durant — who is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history — is going to go off in Game 3 in Los Angeles.
“I think he’ll play amazing,” Curry said, via Mark Medina of the Bay-Area News Group. “Any time anybody of that caliber is challenged in a way that….I know it starts with himself than anything that is said about him or to him. Honestly, no one at that level and capability with what he has accomplished in his career needs extra motivation. You know what stage you’re on and how big this game is tonight. We all show up ready to play. I expect him to be at his best like the rest of us.”

Durant is averaging 22.0 points while shooting 54.2 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from beyond the arc through the first two games. For anyone else, those would be stellar numbers.
But since Durant is one of the top players in the world and the Warriors are heavy favorites to win the title, KD is always going to be under the microscope.
The Warriors need to win just one game in Los Angeles to reclaim home-court advantage in the series.
