Per the website looktothestar.com, Curry has supported five charities this year and 11 causes. The main charity Curry supports is fittingly called “Nothing but Nets”. The charities goal is to supply protective mosquito nets to impoverished countries. He also holds an annual golf tournament which draws many celebrity participants. Last year, former NBA players like Ray Allen and Curry's father, Dell, golfed to raise some money. Over the years, it has raised over 150,000 dollars for ThanksUSA scholarships.
It's nice to see an athlete with such popularity give back to the public. Curry is not obligated to be so generous with his money, but he has consistently proven he is more than willing to be charitable. Curry now has a worldwide following, and he is doing a good job of being an excellent role model on and off the basketball court.
