Golden State Warriors star point guard Stephen Curry broke his left hand on Wednesday after Phoenix Suns center Aron Baynes landed on him.

Curry took to Instagram on Thursday to send a message to Warriors fans:

The Warriors' 2019-20 season couldn't have started any worse. The Dubs are 1-3, and now Curry — the team's best player — will likely miss a big chunk of games.

On the season, Curry is averaging 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.5 assists per game. The two-time MVP and three-time champion is shooting 40.9 percent from the field, 24.3 percent from beyond the arc and a perfect 100 percent from the free-throw line.

The Warriors were already going to have a hard time making the playoffs this season. Now that Curry is out, the Dubs' odds of making the postseason are next to none.

It will be interesting to see if the Warriors look to trade guard D'Angelo Russell in December, when he's eligible to be moved. The Dubs might as well get some assets in return for Russell since their outlook for the season is pretty dark at the moment.

Curry signed a five-year, $201 million deal with Golden State back in the summer of 2017. He's making $40,231,758 this season.
