Monday's post-game locker room fiasco aired a lot of grievances between Draymond Green and Kevin Durant, poignant words that came out of Green's mouth, but rang true in the hearts of many of his teammates. While it was Green voicing his distaste for Durant's handling of his free agency, this was a thought that was shared by many of his teammates, just not spoken — as the Warriors don't plan to go through another season trying to recruit him.
Per Marcus Thompson II of The Athletic:
“Durant’s teammates have made it clear privately they aren’t on board for another Please-Stay-KD tour. And Durant has said he doesn’t want to be recruited. But the decision to suspend Green publicly seems to be a signal from management that they do care about recruiting Durant.”

Green was the sole player punished for the altercation, which has given the view that the organization is taking Durant's side and not his. In the eyes of the franchise, it's not about taking sides, but rather staying true to the team's values and not condoning berating of a player under any circumstances.
Durant's argument was strictly about the game, which is a healthy argument welcome by players and coaches — but Green airing his grievances about his free agent circus is off base and something that crossed the line in the eyes of many Warriors players.
Nevertheless, it's up to Green and Durant to make amends and carry on with the season. It's a complete mystery if Durant will be able to forgive Green for what was said in an explosive locker room rant, but it's up to them to forget for the time being with the bulk of the season ahead.
