Golden State Warriors center DeMarcus Cousins appears to be progressing nicely from his Achilles injury.

Cousins, who signed with the Warriors in the offseason after hitting free agency, has not played this season after undergoing surgery for his torn left Achilles.

However, if you go by a recent video of Cousins participating in 5-on-5 drills, he seems to be getting closer and closer to making his Golden State debut.

And according to ESPN NBA reporter Ohm Youngmisuk, Cousins should be ready if the Warriors have a full-contact practice this week.

Obviously, having a healthy Cousins on the court will add yet another playmaking weapon for head coach Steve Kerr to work with.

Cousins averaged 25.2 points and 12.9 rebounds per game during the 2017-18 campaign and was simply playing excellent basketball prior to the season-ending injury.

He's a double-double machine, and his presence in the paint would give the Warriors an excellent scoring, rebounding, and shot-blocking option to turn to on a nightly basis.

However, the defending champions have still continued to move along nicely in his absence.

Despite riding a two-game losing streak with losses to Toronto and Detroit, Golden State is 15-9 on the season, which currently has Kerr's group a game and a half back of the Los Angeles Clippers in the Pacific Division standings.

But as we all know, once the Warriors get all their important pieces healthy, they're going to have a shot at claiming yet another NBA title when the playoffs roll around in April.
