The Indiana Pacers seem to be a team in flux. They got swept again in the first round of the playoffs, they fired head coach Nate McMillan, and there have been reports that Victor Oladipo and Myles Turner both want to be traded. However, one big positive from this season has been the emergence of Domantas Sabonis. Sabonis averaged over 18 points, 12 rebounds, and five assists per game and became an All-Star for the first time.

On the daily Locked On Pacers Podcast, host Adam Friedman discussed Domantas Sabonis' All-Star season and how he could become a top 20 player in the NBA.

Adam Friedman: For me, obviously, Domantas Sabonis has got to take that 3-point shot and get better at it. I think that's something he's developing in his game. I think each year he brings something different to him. … I just have a lot of confidence that Sabonis will get better each year until it is prime at age 27-28. Maybe that's wishful thinking or whatnot, but I do think Sabonis is the Pacers best player at this moment. He is the best the Pacers have to gain a top 20 player going forward.

I think if you told me in three seasons, he's one of the best 15 to 20 players because he can score 22 points, have 12 rebounds, and have seven assists a game, I would believe it. I think he is that good and has that much talent, and he just has to put all together. He needs to be…in a spot where he has four guards or four shooters around him, he'd be really successful.
