There's at least one member of the Los Angeles Lakers who thinks LaVar Ball isn't a total clown.
While in New York, Lakers center Brook Lopez came to the defense of Lonzo's father, and dismissed any rumors that the team has been adversely affected by Ball's antics, per Fred Kerber of the New York Post.

A good basketball mind,” Lopez said. “People assume there are problems with the team, but it couldn’t be farther from the case. We’re in a great situation and obviously we’re happy with Zo as our point guard.”
Ball has definitely created a firestorm with some of his comments regarding the Lakers organization and coaching. The team even had to have a chat with him and tell him to tone down some of the criticism he's recently hurled toward Lakers head coach Luke Walton.
It's good that some of Lonzo's teammates are coming to the defense of his father, but it's ultimately unnecessary. The fact that other Lakers players are being asked about Ball is exactly where the problem lies.
Hopefully the talk Ball had with the Lakers management changes some things. But knowing LaVar, that's unlikely.
