It has been a crazy year for Isaiah Thomas. He spent most of his time injured with his most recent team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, and played 15 games for them. The biggest problem now is Thomas is now part of a team that already has a good starting point guard. And this is not the average point guard you are talking about, it is Lonzo Ball. There is still uncertainty on what will happen when Ball returns from an MCL injury.

Thomas is in a very peculiar situation. He is in the last year of a four-year deal he signed back in 2014 and expected to get big offers before a serious hip injury last spring. It is unclear what his stance towards his free agency situation is right now, but logically the two-time All-Star will try to show he is still a valuable player for the correct team.
