Lamar Odom was once again part of a lot of headlines, after it was reported that he collapsed inside a club in Los Angeles. A video was even released where it shows him being helped out to get to his feet, as he clearly passed out after a drinking binge. Now, more details have emerged following the incident which explains why the former NBA champion with the Lakers went unconscious.
The former NBA Sixth Man of the Year’s spokesperson made it clear that dehydration was the cause for Lamar Odom's collapse, and not being high on drugs as many have speculated. The person also added, via Tom Schad of USA TODAY Sports, that the temperature inside Bootsy Bellow also added to his passing out, but now he is doing better.

Article Continues Below“He was dehydrated due to intense workouts earlier in the day without the intake of enough fluids,” the spokesperson said. “It was also very hot in the club. He has seen his doctors and is doing great.”
Lamar Odom battled for his life two years ago after he was found unconscious inside a brothel in Las Vegas. Only a year ago, he checked himself in a rehab facility in order to help him remain sober and drug-free, which he completed. He had been vocal in wanting to be better for his children, and he also spoke about his desire to be part of Luke Walton’s coaching staff with the Los Angeles Lakers. A participation in the second season of the BIG3 is also among Odom's next possible gigs.

The 38-year-old Rhode Island product spent 14 seasons in the NBA, and played for four different franchises. He had the most success with the Lakers, as he was part of their back-to-back winning squads from 2008-2010. He last suited up for the L.A. Clippers back in the 2012-13 campaign and appeared in all 82 regular season and six playoff games for them that year.
