LeBron James got done with the first part of his free agency process by opting out of the last year of his deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers, but the major part of his plan still needs to take place — deciding to remain with the Cleveland Cavaliers or bolt to the Los Angeles Lakers in hopes of buiding his next superteam.

Despite being on vacation in the Caribbean, James isn't wasting any time, mixing business with pleasure and coming to a consensus on what his next landing spot should be, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

“He's planning on having a meeting with his closest advisors and friends,” Windhorst said. “I believe, you know, he's still in the Caribbean, and I believe that his friends have come there and they're gonna huddle there. They have what they call ‘The Decision Cave.'”

James will have a couple of days to ponder his next destination, and if Windhorst is right with his previous prediction, the countdown before the Fourth of July starts now, as the ESPN reporter put that as the deadline for his decision, noting he'd want to get it over and done with rather early this time around.

The Cavs and Lakers are considered as the major horses running for his services, while the Philadelphia 76ers are a close third with the cap space to sign him, but no clear line of interest. The Houston Rockets are a distant long shot, now having to make a complete roster overhaul to sign him as a free agent with no clear line for a sign-and-trade having opted out of his contract.
