Los Angeles Lakers superstar big man Anthony Davis says he doesn't care about the media attention which comes with playing next to LeBron James.
Earlier during the 2018-19 season, Kevin Durant said he wasn't sure about playing with James because of all the other stuff that comes with it. Davis says he doesn't care about any of the hoopla which is going to be coming the Lakers' way in 2019-20 and is solely focused on winning a championship with LeBron.
“I don't really care about the media attention,” Davis told Rachel Nichols of ESPN. “You know, I just want to play. And, obviously, playing alongside one of the future Hall of Famers in LeBron makes it a lot easier. So, I know it's gonna come with the territory, but at the end of the day, I focus on the end goal, and that's about winning the championship.”
The second the Lakers start losing, the media is going to pounce on them. That's what happens when you have LeBron James on your team. You're going to be in the spotlight like never before.
Add to the fact that the Lakers are already in the limelight, and you can imagine what it's going to be like in 2019-20 now that Anthony Davis is in Los Angeles. However, as long as the Lakers live up to their potential and avoid any drama, the narrative surrounding the team should be mostly positive.
