The Los Angeles Lakers have dropped three straight games, falling to 24-27 on the season. All three games were without superstar LeBron James. James has been dealing with a knee injury.

Dr. Evan Jeffries posted a video of where he believes the injury was sustained.

On January 25th, the Lakers traveled to Brooklyn to face the Nets. As seen in the video, James appears to come down on his left leg. You can see what looks like a knot in the back of his knee appear to move slightly as he hits the ground.

It didn't slow James much that game, as he posted 33 points in 34 minutes. He added seven rebounds, six assists, three steals and two blocks in the team's last victory. They have lost to the Philadelphia 76ers, Charlotte Hornets and Atlanta Hawks since. The game in Atlanta finished up a six-game road trip.

Dr. Jeffries also posted the potential diagnosis, illustrating exactly what he is talking about.

He points out the swelling is still present and LeBron is seeking options for treatment. Based on the images and video, Dr. Jeffries believes that the injury is either a Baker's cyst or Bursitis.

Bursitis with treatment can sometimes be overcome in a matter of a few days to a week or two. However, a Baker's cyst might cost LeBron James a few weeks beyond that.

The Lakers cannot afford for him to be out for much longer. They have fallen all the way down to the #9 seed in the Western Conference. However, they have a little buffer as they are still five games clear of the New Orleans Pelicans. New Orleans is the first team currently out of the play-in tournament.

LeBron James is currently listed as doubtful for Wednesday night's game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
