Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James was on the wrong side of a double block by Dallas Mavericks rookie Luke Doncic on Friday night.

While the Lakers notched a 114-103 victory over the Mavs, it was Doncic who earned a lot of attention for his two blocks on James in a single possession.

After the game, LeBron James addressed the play that seemingly saw Doncic come out of nowhere for the double block.

From ClutchPoints' Lakers beat writer Ryan Ward:

LeBron James on Luka Doncic: “He came out of nowhere to get the double block on me…I made sure I charged into to him. I did that on purpose.”

While Luka Doncic had the memorable moment on that particular play, it wasn't his best shooting performance of the season. He went just 2-of-13 from the floor and missed all five attempts from long range while scoring just six points on the night.

Doncic added six rebounds, five assists, and three steals (and don't forget the two blocks), but it wasn't enough to lead the Mavs to victory.

Meanwhile, LeBron James went for 12-of-21 shooting on the night and finished with 28 points in 31 minutes of action.

Brandon Ingram was next up for the Lakers with 19 points, while Kyle Kuzma filled the stat sheet with 15 points, 12 rebounds, and six assists.

It marked the second-straight victory for Luke Walton's squad, and they now sit at sixth in the Western Conference standings through 22 games. The Lakers will now prepare for a home matchup with the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon.
