There was no better way to end a Los Angeles Lakers win than this. With under a minute remaining and the game out of hand against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Dwight Howard squared up from the top of the key for a straight-line triple. Splash.
Check out LeBron James and Russell Westbrook go nuts on the Lakers bench as Dwight connected for three:

That triple was the first attempt Dwight Howard has taken from long-range, making him a perfect 1-for-1 so far.
Dwight Howard previously revealed that he was indeed going to get some chances to take threes for the Lakers this season. However, the opportunity would only come via a caveat crafted by LeBron James – Dwight needs to block two shots first.

Dwight didn't block any shots for the Lakers in this one, but with the win secured he saw an opportunity and he took it. Judging by how LeBron and Russ reacted, they're not going to get on his case for it afterwards.
Los Angeles has now managed to crawl back to .500 with a 3-3 record, winning three of their last four contests. Their only loss was a shocker against the Oklahoma City Thunder, a game in which they led by 26 points at one point.
The Lakers look like they're headed in the right direction. After this latest win, it's all good vibes for the purple and gold right now.
