Memphis Grizzlies guard Ja Morant's frustrations against the Los Angeles Clippers reached a boiling point in the second half of their match-up at FedEx Forum on Friday. Last year's Rookie of The Year winner got fed up with not getting calls all night, as he lashed out at the referees following this sequence with Clips center Serge Ibaka.

Morant tried to lay one up over the outstretched arms of the Congolese big man late in the fourth period. Replays showed that he did make contact with Ibaka as he tried to finish the left-handed drive. But officials saw no infractions on Serge's end as play continued, much to Morant's chagrin.
Emotions got the better of Memphis' second-year guard shortly, as he was assessed with two technicals for his unsavory words towards the officials.

Without their best player to close out the match, the Grizzlies dropped this one at home to the Clippers, 119-99. Ja Morant pitched in 20 points on 7-of-20 shooting from the field and 2-of-6 from deep, along with four boards, five assists, and two steals in 33 minutes.
As promising as Morant has been so far in his young NBA career, he still needs to earn his stripes to get the so-called âsuperstar callsâ on these types of plays. This should serve as a learning experience for the 21-year-old youngster, as his team needs him on the floor to close out games.
