Just because Mike Conley is on the Utah Jazz now, doesn't mean he's not looking forward to seeing how the Memphis Grizzlies are going to do next season.

Conley will always have love for the city of Memphis and the Grizzlies. The lefty was back in town on Saturday for his annual bowling charity event and talked about how the Grizzlies have a bright future ahead of them.

“I really did care about how the team would fare after I left,” Conley said, via The Daily Memphian. “It was almost like I was negotiating the deal for them. I was like, ‘Hey, make sure you get this and that or the other.'

“I’m just thrilled to see the guys they’ve got. They’ve got a heck of a future in front of them because of the trades they made for me and Marc (Gasol). They really turned it over well.”
