Around noon on Wednesday, news came down the wire stating that Mike Conley had been traded to the Utah Jazz. Knowing the gravity of the moment, the former No. 4 overall pick decided to send out a heartfelt thank you message to the Memphis Grizzlies faithful.

The Grizzlies traded Conley to the Jazz in exchange for Jae Crowder, Kyle Korver, Grayson Allen, the 23rd pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and a future first-round draft pick, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Conley's departure is bittersweet for many fans in Memphis, as he has spent his entire career with the Grizzlies. Simply put, he will be remembered as a legend in the city, and there is a good chance his jersey will be retired with the franchise shortly after he decides to retire.
From 2011 to 2017, Conley led the Grizzlies to seven consecutive playoff appearances, including a Western Conference finals appearance during the 2012-13 season. As the old saying goes, though, all good things must come to an end.
In his 70 appearances with the Grizzlies this past season (all starts), Conley racked up averages of 21.1 points on 43.8 percent shooting from the field (36.4 percent from beyond the arc), 6.4 assists, 3.4 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 33.5 minutes per outing.
Now that he's been traded to the Suns, Conley will look to team up with a talented starting lineup — one that includes Donovan Mitchell, Joe Ingles, Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert.
