Atlanta Hawks swingman Vince Carter is undoubtedly a legend of the game. In the midst of his 22nd and final NBA season, Vinsanity is bound to draw the appreciation of crowds, opposing or not. Such was the case when the Hawks visited the Memphis Grizzlies Saturday night.

Fans at the FedEx Forum showed their appreciation to the future Hall of Famer by giving him a standing ovation as he checked into the game with 2:48 remaining in the first quarter.

This season, Carter became the first player in NBA history to play in four different decades. At 43 years old, the multiple-time All-Star is the oldest player in the league — more advanced in age than four head coaches.

Playing for the eighth team of his career, Carter is no longer the electrifying superstar he once was. Still, the veteran wing plays 14.5 minutes per game for Atlanta while averaging 4.9 points and 2.1 rebounds while shooting 35.0 percent from the field.

Carter also spent three seasons with the Grizzlies (2013-14 through 2016-17) where he averaged 6.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per game.
