Giannis Antetokounmpo‘s monster season with the Milwaukee Bucks is only getting better as the season draws to a close, not only being one of five players to lead his team in all major five stat categories, but also bound to be the first player to finish in the top 20 in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks per game for the season, according to Justin Kubatko of StatMuse.
The Greek Freak topped an incredible 2015-16 season with career bests in every single statistical category except three-point percentage, where he shot an anemic 27.2 percent.
Antetokounmpo is not only averaging career-highs in all the five major stat categories, but has also picked up his percentages — shooting 52.2 percent from the floor and 77 percent from the line — while making more field goals and free throws than last season despite playing identical minutes.
At 22 years of age, there is still plenty of untapped potential with Antetokounmpo, and if he's able to add a three-point shot as another weapon to his arsenal, the Bucks might just be able to Frankenstein a player unlike the NBA has ever seen before.
At 6-foot-11 and 222 pounds, his complete well-rounded floor game and excellent prowess and versatility at the defensive end make for an unmatched talent in the league — a mix of size, strength, agility, tenacity, and durability, coupled with an undeniably high basketball IQ.
Giannis Antetokounmpo has a very good case for the Most Improved Player award, taking his game to a different level and taking absolute leadership of the Bucks as they head into the playoffs in the sixth seed with a potential for fifth within the last two games of the season.
